A. PAYMENT: Full payment must accompany all advertising copy. Billing privleges are not extended. For your convenience, we accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Orders without payment will be held until payment in full is received. We reserve the right to hold personal checks for clearance before processing advertising orders. All funds must be in U.S. dolalrs payable through a U.S. Bank. There is a $25.00 charge for any check or credit card returned to us by our bank. Failure to remit this charge will result in termination of advertising and subscription privileges. All advertisers must provide reference information for the confidential use of the publisher should questions arise.

B: DEADLINES: All advertising must be received by 5:00 p.m. Eastern time, on or before our published deadline date for any particular issue. Advertising received late will be held for the following issue. We are not responsible for late delivery or non-delivery by the U.S. postal service, any private courier service, or because of malfunctions of electronic methods of delivery.

C. ERRORS: Typewritten copy is recommended. The publisher is not responsible for errors resulting from longhand or illegible copy. The publisher's liability for any error shall not exceed the cost of the space occupied by that error. No credit will be issued for errors in ads or changes in ad copy after published deadline.

D. RETURN PRIVILEGE: Except as otherwise specified in any ad, an advertiser must accept the return of any merchandise postmarked within 10 days of its receipt by a customer when returned in the same condition as received.

E. P.O. BOX ADS are allowed. but the permanent home address or place of business of the advertiser must be filed with the publisher before advertisements may be printed.

F. POLICY: MOVIE COLLECTOR'S WORLD reserves the right to keep this publication strictly movie and Hollywood oriented. The publisher may refuse ads which do not relate to the movie and television industry. MCW assumes no responsibility for misprints or claims and actions by advertisers. All rates contained in this rate card are subject to change without notice.

G. PHONE ADS: Ad copy is not accepted over the phone. Besides being expensive and time-consuming, errors in the ad copy tend to occur when dictation is taken over the phone.

H. PHOTOS: Quality photos are required to achieve quality reproduction, Prices for display advertising (1/4 page or larger) include one 8x10 computer-photo screen. Additional photo screens are available at an extra charge of $2.00 per photo. We are not responsible for the reproduction quality of color photographs, nor are we responsible for the reproduction quality of a photograph that has been reduced from its original size. It is best that you send photographs sized to print. Available for display ads only.

H. PREPRINTED INSERTS are available in MCW. Inquire for additional information and technical specifications.

I. ADVERTISING AGENCIES: There are no discounts granted, agencies supplying C/R copy should pay at the "Camera Ready" rate shown in our rate schedule.

J. CAMERA READY display ads qualify for a discount (See ad rates). 1/4 pg. or larger. All advertising that is not camera ready becomes the property of Arena Publishing, Inc. and may not be reprinted in any way without prior approval of the publisher.

K. PLACEMENT: Advertising is placed at the discretion of the publisher. Certain premium locations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The charge for this Preferred Positioning is 10% above the cost of the ad.

P. TEARSHEETS: Kindly remit $4.00 for a checking copy.

Q. HALFTONES: Prices for "Non Camera Ready" ads include one 8x10" computer-screened halftone. Additional photos and halftone work necessitate extra charges as shown above.

R. RETURN OF COPY. If you want your ad copy returned, enclose a self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage; otherwise there will be a $4.00 charge for handling and postage.

S. AD PROOFS. At advertisers request, we will FAX a copy of your ad, or send a proof copy via e-mailf or your approval for a charge of $3.00, providing request was made 24 hours prior to our scheduled deadline.

T. REPUBLISHING RIGHTS: As a condition of advertising in MOVIE COLLECTOR'S WORLD, Arena Publishing retains the right to republish all material submitted for advertisements in whatever manner it chooses.


STANDARD ADVERTISING POLICIES:

A. Each advertisement will stand on its own size to determine the rate charged. The grouping of several advertisements in any one issue for total size will not be permitted
B. Advertising will be billed for the exact size occupied.
C. All ads typeset and pasted up by Arena Publishing shall be retained by and remain the property of Arena Publishing. Camera ready ads and/or illustrations provided by the advertiser shall be returned upon request, providing sufficient return postage is included with the request.
D. All advertising orders are accepted subject to the terms and provisions printed on the current rate card. The publisher reserves the right to decline or omit advertising, or suspend advertising privileges, for such periods of time as he/she may deem fit, for any reason whatsoever, irrespective of the validity of the reasons for such omission, declination or suspension of advertising privileges.
E. The placement of an ad is automatically subject to all rates and conditions in the rate card.
F. The publisher will not be bound by any conditions, printed or otherwise, appearing on the order for advertising space, billing instructions or copy instructions, which conflict with the publisher's policies.
G. All advertising is subject to the publisher's approval. The publisher reserves the right to edit advertising copy, artwork and format to conform with standard advertising policies.
H. This publication does not guarantee, and disclaims all knowledge of, the right of seller or buyer to contract.
I Advertisers and advertising agencies concerned assume liability for all content (including text representations and illustrations) of advertisements printed and also assume responsibility for any claims arising therefrom made against the publisher. It is the advertiser's or agency's responsibility to obtain appropriate releases on any item or individual pictured in the advertisement.
J. All agreements are subject to strikes, accidents, fires, acts of God, or other contingencies beyond the publisher's control.
K. Advertisements offering prizes, grab bags or contests of any nature, are not acceptable unless prior written approval has been obtained from the United States Postal Service, Washington, D.C.
L. If the delivery will take longer than 30 days from the date the seller received the order, the seller must inform the buyer and offer the buyer the option of a refund or delayed delivery.
M. Customers of mail-order advertisers in MCW have ten days from the time they receive an order to return it, in the same condition, for a full refund less postage costs.
